I'm connecting directly to the TV. The TV has the latest firmware. The laptop was previously able to connect to the TV without prompting for a PIN code every time. This problem began after I replaced the HDD on the laptop and reinstalled Windows 7. I'm guessing the problem is related to the graphics/WiDi/wireless drivers. They're more recent versions than I previously had. If I put in the old HDD, it works correctly.
