I had trouble like this initially, same NUC and same monitor brand (but different model). I can't remember for sure what solved it. I'd guess the solution was using a recent Intel display driver package (with their audio driver) and making sure such new audio driver was being used. That's rather than letting some default or Windows Update style driver be used (which I think worked for HDMI but not for DisplayPort).
